EWE TEL selects Agama for IPTV quality assurance

German regional telco EWE TEL has chosen video quality assurance expert Agama DTV to provide a monitoring solution for the quality assurance of its IPTV service.

EWE TEL, which has almost 600,000 customers in northern Germany, hopes that Agama’s refined head-end and network monitoring will help its operations will become more effective and improve user experience.

EWE TEL’s operations of multimedia apps and server manager Jörn Seemann said: “As a high-performing service provider, we need to provide our customers with the best viewing experience possible.

“It is important to us to have access to the right information at the right time, so that we can both work proactively to prevent problems affecting the service from occurring and act quickly in case of a detected problem. We found a perfect match in Agama’s solution and know-how, and they have proven to be the obvious partner for our quality assurance activities.”

EWE TEL’s IPTV service is available for a wide range of devices, including TVs, PCs, tablets and smartphones.
