Sky channels arrive on Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV service

Sky Deutschland’s complete channel lineup has just launched on Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV service ‘Entertain’, thanks to a carriage agreement struck by the two TV providers last January.

The deal means that 50 new channels have been added to the Entertain service, divided into six packages (Sky Starter, Sky Welt, Sky Film, Sky Sport, Sky Bundesliga and Sky Premium HD), bringing the total available to 230 channels (including over 60 in HD).

To encourage its Entertain customers to sign up, Deutsche Telekom is offering the Sky Welt and Sky Bundesliga packages for two years at a monthly price of €29.90 instead of €34.90, with the corresponding Sky Premium HD channels included free of charge for the first year.

Deutsche Telekom passed two major TV milestones in the first quarter of this year (details here), reaching 2mn television subscribers in Germany (served via IPTV and satellite) and 3mn in Europe.
