Russia’s KartinaTV picks Amino STBs

Russian online video service provider KartinaTV has chosen HD set-top boxes from UK firm Amino for the next stage of its rollout plans, focusing initially on Russian-speaking audiences in Europe but eventually expanding to a global audience.

The KartinaTV service is currently available to Russian-speaking communities in Germany, USA, Israel and the UK. Content packages include a wide range of popular Russian broadcast TV services as well as catch-up TV services plus films and sport programming.

Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: “This is a great example of how the power of OTT delivery is opening up new markets for agile service providers to offer compelling new content packages to customers globally. We’re delighted that KartinaTV has selected Amino’s proven and robust devices for this next stage of their rollout plans.”
