Netflix signs biggest-ever deal for original content

Netflix has signed its biggest order for original content to date with DreamWorks Animation, giving all customers exclusive access to new original television series from 2014.

The multi-year deal will mark the first time that some of DreamWorks Animation’s best-known characters are made into a branded collection of TV shows – including Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon.

Netflix has ordered over 300 hours of new programming from DreamWorks Animation, to be aired in all territories in which it operates, including the US, Canada, Latin America and Europe.
