Arqiva adds Box TV to Freeview portal

UK broadcast services firm Arqiva has added music channel network Box TV to its connected TV platform Connect TV, which delivers content to the country’s free-to-air TV platform ‘Freeview’ as a hybrid DTT+IP portal.

Freeview viewers with Internet-enabled TVs or set-top boxes can now access three more music channels – Magic, Kiss and Kerrang! – as well as additional content with the press of a red button on their remote control.

Julie Wright, business development and commercial director at Box TV, said: “Music and TV consumption patterns are changing and we are now able to meet our core 16-34 audiences on their preferred connected device and on compatible Freeview devices.”
