NAB: Adobe Primetime launches with Comcast, NBC

Adobe has launched its new TV publishing and monetization platform called Primetime, with Comcast Cable and NBC Sports Group as the first content partners on board.

The new platform integrates Adobe’s video publishing, player, DRM, advertising and analytics solutions, and is available to pay-TV providers and programmers from today.

The Adobe Primetime Player is also being made available for Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS, and will support connected TVs as well as gaming platforms such as Roku and Xbox in 2013.

Ecosystem partners on board include Akamai, Amazon Web Services, Cisco Systems, Elemental Technologies, Envivio, Harmonic, iStreamPlanet, RGB Networks, thePlatform and others.
