Italy’s La3 enhances 2nd screen app

Italian TV channel La3 has enhanced its second-screen TV app ‘HyperSync’ with contributions from Dutch firm Civolution and Italy’s Vetrya which enable the delivery of synchronised content to viewers on a variety of connected devices.

The free app has been developed by Vetrya and is powered by Civolution’s audio watermarking technology, enabling  popular features such as behind-the-scenes information to be accurately synchronised with transmissions of the La3 channel on DTT, DTH and the web.

Fabio Rimassa, TV director at La3, said: “Viewers want to watch TV and interact with their favourite content on tablets and smartphones, without being restricted by a TV schedule. It’s a priority for us to satisfy our viewers’ demand for high quality content, anywhere and anytime.”
