LoveFilm to pilot more original content from Amazon Studios

European online video service LoveFilm is to host another original pilot TV series from Amazon Studios, the content production arm of online retailer Amazon, owner of LoveFilm.

LoveFilm members in the UK and Germany will be able to watch test pilots for original children’s series ‘Sara Solves It’, an interactive maths-based puzzle that viewers can solve along with the characters, then leave feedback for the show, with this feedback determining if the series goes into full-season production.

“We are excited to be part of Amazon Studios’ innovative approach of getting high-quality programming directly into the hands of parents and children,” said Carol Greenwald, co-creator and Executive Producer of Sara Solve It.

There are currently 12 pilots underway by Amazon Studios, and once completed they will be posted on Prime Instant Video and Amazon Instant Video for customers to watch for free.

Since the launch of Amazon Studios in November 2010, more than 14,000 movie scripts and 2,700 series pilot scripts have been submitted for consideration. The studio’s development slate currently boasts 20 additional projects.
