T-VIPS completes Nevion merger

Norwegian firms T-VIPS and Nevion – both leading providers of media transport services for broadcasters – have completed their merger, with the resulting entity to be called Nevion.

Reshuffles at the top of the organisation see former T-VIPS CEO Johnny Dolvik becoming Chief Strategy Officer of the new company, while COO and CFO Janne T. Morstøl becomes CMO, and Chief Commercial Officer Arnhild Schia continues her role.

Existing Nevion management team members Eugene Keane, Nils Fredriksen, and Petter Kvaal Djupvik will continue in their positions on the new team, as CTO, CFO and COO respectively.

“As broadcast, IT and telecoms technologies converge, the new Nevion will continue to help customers take advantage of this disruptive change in the market,” said Geir Bryn-Jensen, incoming CEO of Nevion.

“We’re influencing the future of media transport and delivery, and enabling emerging business models with integrated solutions for managed media services over IP, optical and terrestrial networks.”

The transaction was concluded for an unspecified amount.
