SoftAtHome strengthens ties with DSP Group

US firm DSP Group, a provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications, and French software company SoftAtHome have jointly integrated Digital Enhanced Cordless Technology (DECT) Ultra Low Energy (ULE) home security, control and automation solutions.

The new solutions are based on DSP Group’s XceedRTM family of DECT chipset solutions, and feature a dedicated frequency band for home automation and control systems.

This new cooperation comes on the heels of the companies’ previous successful partnership in delivering the first advanced home gateway featuring DECT CAT-iq 2.0 to a tier-1 operator in Europe.

The two companies plan to demonstrate the new solution for the emerging DECT ULE standard at the Broadband World Forum taking place in Amsterdam next week.
