SeaWell Networks, a Canadian specialist in ad-insertion solutions for network operators, has bolstered its executive team with two new appointments, including Duncan Potter, until very recently Chief Marketing Officer at Swedish video server specialist Edgeware.

Mr. Potter will take on the role of CMO at the Toronto-based company, while Jeff Huppertz (previously general partner at JRP Partners) has joined in the role of Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate Development.

SeaWell’s flagship Spectrum adaptive bitrate (ABR) management solution is designed to give pay-TV providers unprecedented network-side control while reducing delivery costs through format rationalisation.

Key customers include Avail-TVN, which chose Spectrum to enable online delivery of encrypted video to any device as part of its AnyView TV Everywhere service.
