Chellomedia chooses Tvinci for Dutch OTT service

International content house Chellomedia (part of Liberty Global) has chosen the Online TV Platform from Israeli firm Tvinci to power an online movie service offering for Film1, the Dutch premium television service.

The service, called ‘Film1 Go’, will allow subscribers to enjoy Film1’s library of international movie content on a number of devices managed through the Tvinci back-end, including iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone/tablets and PC/Mac, with more devices to be added in the near future.

Film1 is currently available through both of The Netherlands’ largest network operators: Ziggo and UPC Nederland, the DTH platform Canal Digital and various other operators.

All subscribers to the Film1 service – which comprises five dedicated film channels (Film1 Premiere, Action, Family, Sundance, and Series) and an SVOD service – will have access to the online offering in the future.

As the international content division of Liberty Global, Inc., the world’s leading international cable operator, Chellomedia produces and distributes 66 television channels internationally to more than 364 million TV households worldwide.

Film1 Go is expected to launch in December 2012.
