Star channels come out for Sunrise

Swiss telco Sunrise has added a package of TV channels from India’s Star Network to its IPTV service ‘Sunrise TV’, including some of India’s leading Tamil and Hindi entertainment and Bollywood channels.

The CHF 20 (US$ 31) per month Star pack includes the premium flagship channels from the Star network – Star Plus, Star Gold and Vijay TV – offering drama, events, lifestyle shows, celebrity chat shows, religious & cookery shows, music & dance reality series and Bollywood blockbusters.

Sunrise launched its IPTV service last January, offering more than 160 linear channels (including 29 in HD) and a substantial catch-up TV service as part of a triple-play package costing CHF 125 (US$ 134) per month.

Chinese firm Huawei was recently chosen by the Swiss telco as sole managed services partner for its fixed and mobile networks for the next five years, including Internet and IPTV.
