The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Informa have announced the results of this year’s joint golf day, held on 1st August 2012 at the Marriott Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire (UK).

Following the success of their last few joint golf days, both organisations organised a challenging game for players in a stunning setting.

Formerly a venue for The Men’s English Open from The European tour, this championship golf course offers a host of different challenges for the players.

2012 team winners were White Oak Warriors with 144 points (taking the coveted SCTE/Informa Golf trophy), followed by Triax (137 points) and Flomatik (122 points).

The individual 2012 winner was Chris Saunders of White Oak Warriors (45 points), followed by Anand Shah of ChelloZone (43 points) and James Kelliher of White Oak Warriors (42 points).

The golf day included a full day’s play with a three-course dinner and prize-giving. SCTE members enjoyed special discounted rates.

“Since 2009, Informa has teed up with the SCTE to co-locate our golf days, which attract on average 16 teams and 64 players,” said Barry Killingrey of Informa. “Some of the most effective business is done on the golf course.”
