US firm MobiTV, a provider of TV everywhere solutions, is expanding its EMEA operations by establishing a new hub in London, headed up by company president Paul Scanlan.

MobiTV, which says that it sees a growing wealth of opportunities for selling TV everywhere solutions to TV providers in the EMEA region, recently announced upgrades to its TV everywhere proposition which included the addition of nPVR capabilities.

The company also recently extended the scope of its datacenter located in Sacramento, California to manage all types of motion picture content for international multi-screen delivery of high-quality services.

MobiTV has a number of well-established competitors – including fellow Californian firms RGB Networks and Ooyala, and Seattle-based Comcast subsidiary thePlatform – but by relocating its president to London, MobiTV should find itself well-placed to grab a slice of the EMEA market.

MobiTV provides tailored connected media solutions for IPTV operators, mobile TV and over-the-top customers including AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Sprint, T-Mobile, Telus, US Cellular, and Verizon among others.
