Conax to reboot brand at IBC 2012

Norwegian TV technology firm Conax will be taking the wraps off a brand new corporate identity at the IBC 2012 trade show kicking off in Amsterdam early next month, along with a new strategy for capturing a larger share of the evolving market within media consumption.

Conax, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Norway’s incumbent telco Telenor, will be unveiling new solutions as part of its revamp, along with a partnering strategy for guiding media distribution companies making the transition to enhanced multimedia services.

According to Telenor’s latest results filing, Conax achieved revenues of NOK 141mn (US$ 24mn) in the second quarter of this year, up slightly from one year previously, while EBITDA also rose slightly to reach NOK 63mn.

In March the company announced plans to deliver pre-integrated content security solutions with best-of-breed partners to assist operators in the transition from basic to advanced services – with considerably reduced risk, cost and time-to-market for delivering new services, such as enriched user experience, video-on-demand, multi-screen, nPVR and over-the-top (OTT) content delivery.
