Swisscom enables TV subs to access their PVR recordings remotely

Switzerland’s Swisscom has overhauled the online experience for subscribers of its IPTV service ‘Swisscom TV’, enabling them to access their PVR recordings remotely over the Internet on connected devices.

The service is already compatible on PCs via the Web browser, and subscribers will also be able to access their PVR recordings remotely using their iOS device from July 2nd.

Swisscom’s over-the-top (OTT) video service ‘Swisscom TV air’ has also now been combined with the Swisscom TV guide and a video-on-demand catalogue and made into a single website for ease of access, called ‘Swisscom TV online’.

The telco had reached 655,000 IPTV subscribers by the end of the first quarter of this year, up 40% from one year earlier.
