Orange TV blossoms

France Telecom has posted more strong results for its European pay-TV operations, adding nearly a million new subscribers in the 12 months to March and reaching 5.349mn.

Most of these new additions were made in France and Poland: in its domestic market, the company had reached 4.555mn pay-TV customers by the end of March (up 23% year-on-year), while in Poland the total increased 15% to reach 663,000 subscribers.

Total group revenues across all operations and markets for the first quarter of this year reached €10.922bn, down 0.1% on a comparable basis, excluding the impact of regulatory measures, while EBITDA fell 5.6% on the same basis to reach €3.432bn.
