On Demand Group wins multi-screen VOD deal in Eastern Europe

Topfun Media, the largest Internet-based video-on-demand service in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, has signed an agreement with On Demand Group to provide transactional VOD (TVOD) and subscription VOD (SVOD) services in various countries across Eastern Europe.

On Demand Group VOD services will provide Topfun’s customers with access to the latest blockbuster movies on a TVOD basis, and a vast library of on-demand TV content on an SVOD basis, including popular TV series, children’s programming, movies, and the latest music videos.

The Topfun service is available through its website (, the Topfun application for Samsung Smart TVs, Android and iOS mobile devices, Humax set-top boxes, and several IPTV partners. Customers can watch their purchased movies in SD, HD, and 3D.

On Demand Group’s parent company SeaChange International, a specialist in TV technology and software, confirmed today that it has completed the sale of its broadcast server and storage business to new independent company XOR Media (full details here).
