NBA playoffs set social media sites abuzz

New data compiled by US firm Trendrr has revealed the 20 US television shows which generated the most conversation on social media networks, with NBA basketball games coming top.

The stats reveal that the NBA playoff between the LA Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder generated the most social media activity on cable networks for the 24 hours to midday GMT on 16th May, followed by the NBA playoff between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers.

On broadcast networks, America’s Got Talent came top, but generated around a third of the social media buzz that the Lakers/OKC Thunder game did. The Bachelorette came second, with Gossip Girl coming third.
