New features for KreaTV version 4.4 are: Web browsing, as well as HTTP Live Streaming (including support for Motorola’s SecureMedia HLS+ content encryption); USB time-shift; retransmission and fast channel-change; expanded support for IETF TR-069 (basics and statistics), TR-135 and TR-106 standards; and whole-home (DVR).

Motorola KreaTV version 4.4 is available now for operator trials, and is expected to be released for general availability in the second half of 2012.

Motorola Mobility’s Home devices division posted revenues of US$ 884mn for the first quarter of this year, down 2% on an annual basis, while GAAP operating earnings improved slightly to reach US$ 68mn.

The company’s merger with Google continues to move forwards, with clearance obtained in all jurisdictions in which it operates except China. It is expected to close in the first half of this year.
